how to control bots in AV

Hi, looking to complete an AV for my Icy Barbed Spear.
I can control bots in PVE, but in the AV raid they don't seem to respond to commands at all, at best I get an error along the lines of "all your party members cannot respond"

What am I missing?

I've seen human players on the other team do this too, where a bot will follow them around or wait with them. I have yet to figure out how to do this, so eagerly await an answer to your questions as well.

You can not control your sides bots in AV however you can control the enemies in full with your recapping actions. Av is easy to win doing this with all towers and Graveyard's up for max honor. I've ground 220K this week with 4 days still to go. Hit me up if you'd like to run a few and I'll show you complete enemy bot control and an easy 100% win rate for max honor.

Any tips on how to reliably win in AV as an Ally? I am asking for a non stealth character.

I dont know exactly what the logic is behind the system, but for my warrior sometimes healers will follow him around if they've recently rested and are nearby. Other than that, sometimes I'm able to aggro mobs from a relatively short distance from the bots by simply starting auto attack without actually attacking; For the two lts. near balinda, if you stand in the entrance and just auto attack with the bots nearby you, they will sometimes run towards them and attack. Not 100% consistent though and doesn't seem to always work.
