Hi,
I would like to suggest an extension to the PartyBot movement commands.
Currently, we already have useful commands such as .partybot spread, as well as commands for moving/stopping tanks, healers, melee DPS and ranged DPS.
The spread command is especially useful because the ranged bots automatically position themselves without having to move every bot manually.
It would be great to have a similar system for complete party/raid formations.
For example, a new command could be added:
.partybot formation <type>
Possible formations could be:
Standard/Raid – Tank(s) in front, melee behind/around the tank, healers behind the melee and ranged DPS further back
Line – Bots spread out in a line
Wide – Similar to the standard formation but with more distance between bots
Circle – Bots positioned around the player
Stack – All bots move close together
The main goal would not be to control every bot individually. The idea is to press one command/button and have the entire party or raid automatically move into useful positions.
For example:
TANK
MELEE MELEE
MELEE MELEE
HEALER HEALER
RANGE RANGE RANGE
RANGE RANGE
Ideally, positioning would be based on the bots' assigned roles (tank, healer, melee DPS, ranged DPS), so it would work regardless of the actual classes in the raid.
Something like:
.partybot formation raid
could calculate the positions relative to the player and move every bot to its assigned position.
Another command such as:
.partybot formation off
could return all bots to their normal movement/follow behaviour.
The existing .partybot spread command already seems to do something similar for ranged DPS, so perhaps its positioning logic could be extended to support additional formations and roles.
This would be especially useful for larger raids, where manually positioning 20–40 bots before an encounter takes a lot of time.
If such a server command existed, it could also easily be integrated into PCP with formation buttons.
Thanks for considering it.
