Auction House missing items
Auction House missing items
In order for the auction house to be more blizzlike it should contain everything that gatherers that would normally be in the world put on the ah. Solocraft has ores and stones up there for that reason but no crystals. I have been farming for Thorium veins for hours and have not had one blue Sapphire drop, and that may be blizzlike, what is not blizzlike is that there would be many other gatherers out there that would have gotten it and put it up on ah. I dont know off hand all the extra items for herbing, skinning, mining, and maybe fishing but this should be easy to understand my point of view and I believe it is concurrent with Solocraft's ideals
Re: Auction House missing items
I agree the AH is missing some key items that a blizzlike economy would have, and this often leads me to looking up where to farm those items and then getting them myself instead. I don't mind this, and I like grinding for stuff, but you can imagine how this can be a headache for certain items.
This also applies to BoE gear that drops during LVLing. Usually that's how I would make mount/training gold in a classic server as an army of enchanters/twinks/alts would snatch that gear up. Since that demand isn't there, players will probably lose gold trying to repost BoE blues/greens 3-4 times before it gets picked up. Thus, items aren't available on the market, because its probably more profitable atm to vendor for the raw gold.
I understand the team is currently working on adding in armor items to the AH bot which will definitely help with availability, but I feel like this will now create a huge laundry list of items that will need to be manually added in too.
We need some "market stimulus" to incentivize players to actual post and keep items on the market. I do like the idea of the AH bot buying items, but I see how that would be abused. Maybe this only applies to BoE armor/weapons under a certain market threshold, to help contain its impact.
My other suggestion would be to remove the AH deposit cost, so there is no downside to reposting items 3-4 times. This would primarily benefit new players who don't have a main yet, and also increase the availability of low to mid tier items.
If there was a way to increase listing times that would be cool too, but I have no clue how difficult either of these would be.

Re: Auction House missing items
I definitely agree that stuff like crystals and other gathering materials should be added.
I don't think there's any need to try and stimulate the player economy of the Auction House, though. For level 40 mounts it's pretty easy to raise that money just by vendoring all extra loot you're getting from not having to share with the party, and when that fails there's always people willing to just donate you the gold if asked for in Guild or World chat.

Hello, this was discussed on discord already, we are working on it. Most tabs are copied (prices & items) from live era servers already.
